Bhogali jalpan have proven not only as a trademark for Assamese traditional food but also, that our young generation can become independent and self employed doing business of rice based products, which is one of the staple crops of India. I am proud to be in association with Ajit Da who has used the concept of startup, when it was not even known by common people, and took up this path of risk with courage and came up successfully with this organization.

25 years ago we saw Assamese pitha, Assamese ladu came into market with a brand name Bhogali Jalpan. And after that we started getting a variety of Assamese jalpan in the market with best quality, best taste and international standard, our Assamese jalpan turned into an organization. 40 years ago, we could not even imagine that our traditional Assamese pitha, ladu, jalpan can reach the international market; but Bhogali Jalpan have successfully presented our traditional food across national and international markets.

Bhogali Jalpan is a pride for Assam; because Bhogali Jalpan has created a variety of rice based products with value addition and uplifted our traditional food to a higher standard with authentic taste for the national and international market. Now, Bhogali products have secured a place in the breakfast table across the household of Assam; also when we serve Bhogali products to our relatives living abroad, even they appreciate the quality of the products.

Bhogali Jalpan as a pioneer has encourage different women self help groups to come up with the production and selling of our traditional pitha and ladu. Now, the people of Assam have realized the potential of the traditional food market and this food is available across the state.
