Pokamithoi is a traditional sweet dish of Assam, made in two varieties. Dry rice flour is roasted in medium flame. Jaggery is heated until it melts to a pouring consistency. Roasted black pepper is added to the rice flour & melted jaggery is also added. Everything is mixed well and shape into round shaped balls, roll in rice flour and ate after it gets cool and hard. It is a seasonal product, manufactured only during Bihu Festival time or on pre order by the customers.

Dry roast the rice Flour, add 1 tbsp of warm waterto the grated jaggery. Heat the jaggery until it melts to a pouring consistency. Add roasted black paper to the rice flour & add the melted jaggery. Mix well and shape into round shaped balls, roll in rice flour and eat when cool and hardened.
