Gur (jaggery) is a naturally occurring sugarcane and dates product. Compared to sugar, it is more natural and healthy. As part of the process, sugarcane is crushed to produce juice, which is then partially purified, melted, and filtered to remove impurities, and crystallized from the syrup. Finally, sugar crystals are dried to further make them edible. Gur helps in purifying the entire body, enhances digestion, lowers the risk of anemia, strengthens the immune system, helps with glucose regulation and weight loss, etc.
